Rental/Damage Agreement
These are the Terms of Service for any of MicDrop's Rental Services. By proceeding, the Renter authorizes MicDrop to keep their payment method securely on file.
Equipment Care: The Renter agrees to treat the rented microphone and all included accessories with care and return them in the same working condition in which they were received. Equipment must be returned with all original accessories and packaging materials included in the shipment.
Loss, Theft, & Damage: The Renter is fully responsible for the equipment while it is in their possession. If the microphone or its accessories are lost, stolen, or returned with damage beyond normal wear and tear, the Renter authorizes MicDrop to charge their payment method on file for the full retail replacement cost of the affected items (up to $300).
Subscription Billing: The Renter's weekly subscription will continue to bill until the rental equipment is returned. The subscription will be automatically cancelled once the return shipping label is scanned by the carrier. If the Renter cancels their subscription, they must return the rental equipment within 1 day of cancellation. Failure to do so may result in MicDrop charging their payment method on file for the full retail replacement cost of the affected items.
Returns: The Renter agrees to return all rental equipment using the provided return shipping materials. The Renter is responsible for ensuring the equipment is properly packaged and the return label is scanned by the carrier to trigger cancellation of the subscription. MicDrop is not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments that result from improper packaging by the Renter.
Late Returns: If equipment is not returned within 7 days of subscription cancellation, MicDrop reserves the right to charge the Renter's payment method on file for the full retail replacement cost of the affected items (up to $300).
Return Inspection: MicDrop reserves the right to inspect all returned equipment within 48 hours of receipt. Any damage, missing accessories, or missing packaging materials identified during this inspection window may result in additional charges to the Renter's payment method on file. The Renter will be notified of any such charges before they are applied.
Shipping Damage: It is the Renter's responsibility to properly package the rental equipment for return shipment. MicDrop is not liable for damage that occurs during return shipping due to inadequate packaging. The Renter agrees to use the provided return shipping materials and to ensure all items are securely packed before handing the package to the carrier.
Geographic Restrictions: MicDrop rentals are available to Renters located within the United States only. The Renter confirms that their shipping address is within the United States. MicDrop reserves the right to cancel any order placed outside of this region.
Acceptable Use: The rental equipment is for the Renter's personal or professional recording use only. The Renter agrees not to resell, sublease, lend, or otherwise transfer the equipment to any third party during the rental period. Any unauthorized use may result in immediate cancellation of the subscription and additional charges.
Payment Security & Charges: The Renter's payment method will be securely stored and will only be charged under the conditions described in these terms. MicDrop will notify the Renter before applying any charges beyond their regular subscription billing.
Governing Terms: MicDrop reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the rental service constitutes the Renter's acceptance of any updated terms.
